Fire Station Alerting
Fire Station Alerting From US Digital Designs Honeywell
See why communities of every size trust and rely on the Phoenix G2 Fire Station Alerting System to help shave seconds—and sometimes minutes—off of emergency response times.
To help reduce dispatch call-processing times, the Phoenix G2 Fire
Station Alerting System almost instantaneously alerts the right units,
in the right places. That means first responders are more efficient and
better informed when they arrive on the scene.
At RC Security Consulting we can help Design, Install, and service your new or existing USDD system
ATX
During a dispatch alert, the Phoenix G2 ATX Station Controller processes the alert at the fire station, and then returns an “acknowledgment” back to the Phoenix G2 Communications Gateway located at the dispatch center. The ATX alerts any combination of room zones using individual lighting, messaging and volume control in each zone. The ATX Station Controller stores the station configuration and alerting locations in memory. It can easily be configured and updated remotely through our encrypted Web interface, over a private network. The ATX computer features a secure, embedded operating system that runs on a high-speed flash memory. It also has a touchscreen display for first responders to view station alerts.
Features & Benefits:- Ramped, heart-saver alert tones
- 12” touchscreen
- Zoned alerting
- DTMF paging
- Local and remote monitoring and logging
- Remote configuration and software updates
Color Indicator Remote
The Phoenix G2 Color Indicator Remote is instantly recognizable by fire station personnel. It provides colorful, immediate dispatch information to the observer. The peripheral is easily visible in sunlit rooms, and the LED lights are fully programmable via the ATX Station Controller.
This visual alerting device joins the family of easy-to-install, single-wire, Power over Ethernet (PoE) G2 peripheral devices.
HDTV Remote
The Phoenix G2 HDTV Remote can be configured to display data for fire stations or dispatch centers on a customer-provided TV. This remote is another Phoenix G2 peripheral that provides firefighters and first responders with another means of visual alerting.
Features & Benefits:- Shows alerted units, turnout timer and incident location map
- Ideal for dispatch centers and administrative areas
- Lists recent alerts and individual station success indicators
- Maps can show customer-provided location information
I/O Remote
The Phoenix G2 IO Remote interfaces between the ATX Station Controller and field devices at the fire station. The inputs (I) can be configured to monitor switches such as doorbells, walk-in alert triggers and door open sensors. The outputs (O) can be used to signal automatic doors and gates, activate strobe lights and more.
The I/O Remote may be installed up to 300 feet from the ATX Station Controller. Like all Phoenix G2 peripheral devices, the I/O Remote receives power and data via a single Ethernet CAT5 or CAT6 cable. The extruded, all-aluminum enclosure features laser-etched labels for all inputs and outputs. It has flanged end plates for easy installation.
Input and output rules are easily configured in the Station Controller Interface. This enables individual outputs to respond to unit alarms, time of day alarms, and many more options. Inputs can be set to trigger other outputs, act as doorbell inputs, acknowledge calls and more.
US Digital Designs’ I/O rule software interface allows you to configure the inputs and outputs in an almost limitless fashion
Illuminated Speaker
The Phoenix G2 Illuminated Speaker incorporates a speaker and long-lasting LED lighting, offering luminosity without causing light blindness.
Designed to assist first responders out of bed, out of the room and down the hall, it offers soft-start, ramped night lighting at the time of dispatch.
Each speaker is fitted with high-intensity red LEDs, which provide exceptional luminosity without causing light blindness due to dark-to-bright transition.
The speakers receive power from the ATX Station Controller, Message Remote or Room Remote 2. Recommended installation locations include dorm rooms, hallways and common areas.
Features & Benefits:- Features & Benefits
- High-intensity red LED lights
- Soft-start ramped lighting at dispatch
- Exceptional luminosity without causing light blindness
Message Remote 2
The Phoenix G2 Message Remote 2 is a highly flexible peripheral providing support for up to two of our legacy Beta Bright LED signs as well as 2 independent audio zones. The MR2 contains two independent 15 watt audio amplifiers which can power a variety of speakers including our Sound Sphere speaker, 70 Volt as well as 8 ohm speakers, illuminated and non illuminated speakers.
Each MR2 channel has a dry contact input and a dry contact output. These I/O points are programmable to various functions, such as door bells, control valves and switches, lighting controls, etc.
There is a maximum amount of power that can be connected to an MR2 so not all functions are available in all combinations. Consult with USDD to verify that the combination of signs, speakers and I/O does not exceed the maximum power available from the MR2.
The Message Remote 2 is installed quickly and easily, and is a favorite among installers and system designers due to its ability to meet nearly any architectural need.
Features & Benefits:- Most flexible peripheral available
- Contains two independent audio amplifiers
- Can be used to add additional speaker zones to a station
Message Sign
System administrators or the fire department can control the type of information displayed, scrolling speed, message length, etc. Additionally, the sign can be configured to display dispatch information, turnout timer or unit status (with a capable CAD system).
Installation locations: Above doorways, in hallways, kitchens, offices and app bays.
There are three message sign options:
Mini Message Sign – 12.8″ W x 3.7″H x 2.1″D
Standard Message Sign – 24.8″ W x 3.7″ H x 2.1″ D. (most common)
Extended Message Sign – 36.8″ W x 3.7″ H x 2.1″ D.
Features & Benefits:- Quickest way to understand an alert
- Easy to install
- Mount above doors, in hallways, kitchens, offices, and apparatus bays
- Available in three sizes: mini, standard, and extended
Omni Alert Strobe Speaker
The Phoenix G2 Omni Alert Strobe Speaker is a dual-purpose, visual and audible fire station alerting device. It’s particularly effective in large, open areas with high ambient noise, as well as in acoustically challenging environments (e.g., apparatus bays and shops).
Requires Message Remote 2 for Power / Signal / Control.
Features & Benefits:- Visual and audible alerting device
- Ideal in large open areas like apparatus bays
- Rotating bursts of light to visually alert your personnel
Room Remote 2
